Wilde Animals began when Lauren Wilde decided to combine her love of animals with her career in special effects makeup.
After the unfathomably successful Kickstarter campaign in Sept 2014, Lauren and her partner in crime Alex raised the necessary funds to purchase the tools and materials needed to create the molds for the next 10 animals. They're thrilled to open this online store and begin sharing Wilde Animals with the world!
Lauren Wilde is a makeup artist living in Los Angeles and working in the film industry. She received her MFA from UNCSA in Wig and Makeup Design in 2013 - educated in realistic sculpture design, mold making, prosthetic painting, and wig making. She is an avid animal lover and considered being a veterinarian before pursuing a career in the arts.
Lauren was named the 2013 Kryolan Makeup Artist of the Year, and was chosen to showcase her work both nationally and internationally through USITT. She was also chosen as one of 8 artists from around the world to participate in the IMATS Battle of the Brushes two years in a row.
