There is something small that all of us can do every single day that will make a big impact on the environment- turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth! By turning off the tap when you brush, you will be saving about 8-10 gallons of water a day a day per person. The average faucet flows at 2 gallons a minute (yikes!). After a year of conserving water while brushing, you could save over 13,000 gallons of water! That's enough water to keep a human being alive and healthy for their whole life.

Some other ways to help conserve water could be using a cup! Fill a cup with water and use that water to rinse your mouth and brush after brushing. Also, you could install a faucet aerator which reduces water flow by adding tiny bubbles of air. Those cost about $5-$10 at Home Depot.

It saves money, saves water and saves the environment, so #GoWilde and turn off the tap while brushing!
